Teri Seier Moore Pilates

About Me

After a lifetime in the heart of New York City, I’m now embracing the sunshine of Miami, still guided by the same love for movement that shaped my life as a performer and teacher.

My Pilates journey began after a professional career in ballet, musical theatre, choreography and acting. From the very first class, I was captivated. Pilates became the perfect bridge between art and athleticism, and I knew I had found my lifelong passion.

With more than two decades on stage and over 25 years of teaching ballet and Pilates, I’ve developed a unique approach that blends the grace of dance with the precision of Pilates. I often say Pilates and dance are like peanut butter and jelly. They simply belong together.

That philosophy inspired me to create Teri Seier Moore Pilates, where my mission id to make Pilates, not only accessible but joyful, creative and deeply personal. Whether you’re stepping onto the reformer for the first time or refining your advanced practice, you’ll experience Pilates the way it was meant to be, tailored, empowering and always engaging.

My greatest reward is watching students transform, gaining strength, confidence, and renewed connection to their bodies. My teaching is rooted in creativity, encouragement and the belief that movement has the power to change lives.

Teaching Philosophy

Teri’s teaching philosophy centers on transformation through movement. She believes Pilates should be:

Technically precise

Creatively expressive

Intelligently sequenced

Empowering and accessible

Her classes balance discipline with artistry—what she often describes as blending the grace of dance with the precision of Pilates. Her mother used to say, “It’s like peanut butter and jelly—they just go together.” Students are guided to move with confidence, control, and a deeper connection to their bodies.
